The authors of this study wanted to determine whether application of Reiki to noise-stressed rats can reduce their heart rates (HRs) and blood pressures.

Reiki Studies on Mental Health Clinicians

 Renee M. Rosada, PsyD  et all conducted research which utilized a crossover design to explore the efficacy of Reiki versus sham Reiki, a pseudo treatment designed to mimic true Reiki, as a means to reduce symptoms of burnout. See their abstract by following the link below.
